Travel to Sigiriya Check in the hotel and evening you will travel to visit the Sigiriya rock fortress. One of Sri Lanka’s most fascinating UNESCO world heritage sites. No matter how often you climb to the summit of this one-time hilltop fortress of the maverick Sinhalese king, Kassapa, the pleasure barely diminishes because of the abandon spectacular views at the summit.

Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Polonnaruwa and visit Cultural sites. Polonnaruwa was the capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th century AD. This ancient city is today one of the most beautiful centers of this island’s cultural heritage. In its prime, the city, inside its 3½ miles strong encircling walls, housed hundreds of thousands of people. Travel back to Sigiriya.

Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Anuradhapura and visit Cultural sites. Anuradhapura was first settled by Anuradha, a follower of Prince Vijaya the founder of the Sinhala race. Later, it was made the Capital by King Pandukabhaya at about 380 B.C.According to the Mahavamsa, the epic of Sinhala History, King Pandukabhaya’s city was a model of planning. Precincts were set aside for huntsmen, for scavengers and for heretics as well as for foreigners. Travel back to Sigiriya.

Breakfast leave for Trincomalee Visit heavenly coastal getaway of unspoilt, white, sandy beaches and crystal blue waters is located in the Northeast portion of the island. A short drive outside the town circles would render its visitors speechless owing to breathtaking sights that behold them. Trincomalee’s most culturally important site is the Koneswaram temple – a vibrant religious complex located atop a rocky hill that opens out to gorgeous vistas of the sparkling blue ocean. The temple complex is also home to the Lover’s Leap (Swami Rock) a rocky pinnacle worshipped by passing fishermen.

Breakfast at the hotel and leave for Kandy via Dambulla and Matale. En-route visits the Golden rock temple. Golden Rock is a cave temple which dates back to the 1st Century .BC. Its rock ceiling is one large sweep of colorful frescoes which depict Buddhist mythology and the tales of the Buddha’s previous births. The caves house the largest collection of Buddha statues in one place. The small building is designed like a Hindu temple with a mandapa, an entrance hall (originally roofed), a short passage to a bare cello, and an ambulatory round the holy center. There is no sign of Hindu gods, however, and the temple is said to have been used by Buddhists. This is one of the earliest buildings of stone constructed in Ceylon. Then travel to Kandy visit the Matale spice garden. In Kandy visit the Temple of the Tooth. View a cultural dance in evening. Kandy, last seat of the Sinhala Kings, is a very popular destination for visitors from home and abroad.

  • Breakfast at the hotel travel to Visit the Horton Plains National Park Horton Plains National Park, approximately 1 ½ hours drive.Take a scenic trekking trail in Horton Plains National Park to see World’s end point and Baker’s waterfall. Horton Plains National Park, once a hunting ground of British and Scottish planters, now a well preserved natural heritage site which is a bio diversity hotspot. Horton Plains is a good place to see high elevation birds, Samber Deer and this is home for elusive Leopards too but spotting them is not easy. Horton Plains is a part of Peak Wilderness Sanctuary which leads to Adam’s Peak which could be seen at a distance..

    Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Ella. En-route visit Ella gap and Ravana waterfall. Visit the Ella Little Adam’s Peak Ella such as 9 Arch Bridge built by the British’s during their colonial time.Hike to Little Adam’s Peak in the afternoon. Little Adam’s Peak is a nice and not so hard trek about 2 hours both ways to a nice mountain peak which greets you with jaw dropping views.
