Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and met by your Guide, Representatives and transfer to hotel at Sigiriya. Travel to Sigiriya Check in the hotel and evening you will travel to visit the Sigiriya rock fortress. One of Sri Lanka’s most fascinating UNESCO world heritage sites. No matter how often you climb to the summit of this one-time hilltop fortress of the maverick Sinhalese king, Kassapa, the pleasure barely diminishes because of the abandon spectacular views at the summit.
Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Polonnaruwa and visit Cultural sites. Polonnaruwa was the capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th century AD. This ancient city is today one of the most beautiful centers of this island’s cultural heritage. In its prime, the city, inside its 3½ miles strong encircling walls, housed hundreds of thousands of people. Travel back to Sigiriya.
Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Anuradhapura and visit Cultural sites. Anuradhapura was first settled by Anuradha, a follower of Prince Vijaya the founder of the Sinhala race. Later, it was made the Capital by King Pandukabhaya at about 380 B.C.According to the Mahavamsa, the epic of Sinhala History, King Pandukabhaya’s city was a model of planning. Precincts were set aside for huntsmen, for scavengers and for heretics as well as for foreigners. There were hostels and hospitals, at least one Jain chapel, and cemeteries for high and low castes. A water supply was assured by the construction of tanks, artificial reservoirs, of which the one named after the king itself exists to this day under the altered name of Baswakkulam. Travel back to Sigiriya.
Breakfast leave for Trincomalee Visit heavenly coastal getaway of unspoilt, white, sandy beaches and crystal blue waters is located in the Northeast portion of the island. A short drive outside the town circles would render its visitors speechless owing to breathtaking sights that behold them. Trincomalee’s most culturally important site is the Koneswaram temple – a vibrant religious complex located atop a rocky hill that opens out to gorgeous vistas of the sparkling blue ocean. The temple complex is also home to the Lover’s Leap (Swami Rock) a rocky pinnacle worshipped by passing fishermen.
Breakfast at the hotel and leave for Kandy via Dambulla and Matale. En-route visits the Golden rock temple. Golden Rock is a cave temple which dates back to the 1st Century .BC. Its rock ceiling is one large sweep of colorful frescoes which depict Buddhist mythology and the tales of the Buddha’s previous births. The caves house the largest collection of Buddha statues in one place. The small building is designed like a Hindu temple with a mandapa, an entrance hall (originally roofed), a short passage to a bare cello, and an ambulatory round the holy center. There is no sign of Hindu gods, however, and the temple is said to have been used by Buddhists. This is one of the earliest buildings of stone constructed in Ceylon. Then travel to Kandy visit the Matale spice garden. In Kandy visit the Temple of the Tooth. View a cultural dance in evening. Kandy, last seat of the Sinhala Kings, is a very popular destination for visitors from home and abroad.
Breakfast at the hotel and leave for Nuwara Eliya. En-route visits a Tea factory, Tea plantation and Ramboda waterfall. Sri Lanka being famous for its “Ceylon Tea” has added cheer to many the world over for more than a century. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya to be greeted by the fresh wintry atmosphere, the cottage type bungalows and the colonial air. ( Nuwara Eliya is also known as “Little England”)
Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Yala . En-route visit Ella gap and Ravana waterfall. Check in the hotel, an evening you will go for a game drive to Yala , one of the island’s most popular wildlife parks where you could see all most all the animals which is found in Sri Lanka. One of Sri Lanka ‘s premier eco tourism destinations, lies 24km northeast of Tissamaharama and 290km from Colombo on the southeast coast of Sri Lanka, spanning a vast 97,878 hectares over the Southern and Uva Provinces.
Breakfast at the hotel leave for the Bentota. En-route Visit the Gall Dutch Fortress.
An ancient city which is now a modern and buzzing town today. It was the most important sea port way back in history, where the sea faring merchants arrived to trade and barter. This is also where the Portuguese first set foot in the year 1505 and built a fortress, which was later captured and fortified by the Dutch.
Travel back to Bentota.
